

Summer Ridge is a small family run farm nestled just west of the Shenandoah River. After decades of homesteading for ourselves, we decided to share our beef with the community here in Northern Virginia.
We raise Blank Angus cattle, who share their fields with goats, ducks, chickens, horses, and the occasional barn cat. We've found over the years that the best beef takes time and patience. So even though it takes a little longer, we 100% grass feed and finish our cows. They get no meal or grain to artificially increase their size quickly. They also never receive hormones or antibiotics. Just lots of organically grown grass, hay, and plenty of ear scratches.
Our fields are never treated with pesticides- we firmly believe that those chemicals have no place in our food supply. Instead we use goats to control weeds, and careful rotation and organic seeding to keep our fields lush and nutritious.
All of our beef is prepared by our local butcher, who was carefully chosen for their gentle staff and clean, USDA inspected facility. The beef is all flash frozen and vacuum sealed so no food is wasted.
